This school year marks my 24th year of teaching - ALL AT SEAS. I must like it here! My first year was 4th grade and then I moved over to the DARK SIDE! I've taught just about every subject but the majority has always been mathematics. This year I'm teaching 6th, 7th, and 1/2 of 8th grade math.
I grew up in Mora, Minnesota as the only girl and youngest of 7! I played every sport there was and loved every minute of it. I attended College of St. Benedict for one year and then took a year off to travel the world with a group called UP WITH PEOPLE. I then attended College of St. Thomas and played both basketball and tennis and graduated in 1989 with a journalism degree. I did some local broadcasting and writing in my early career and decided that I wasn't too keen on pursuing a career in broadcast journalism. Then came a series of FUN and VALUABLE exeriences - Yellowstone National Park and American Trans Air Flight attendant are two of my favorites. In 2000 I attended UW River Falls and obtained my teaching degree and masters in Education in 2001 and was hired at SEAS shortly after. I'm looking ahead to another wonderful year of teaching, learning, and discovery. GOD IS GOOD
